Review: Wilde Thing (Born to be Wilde #3) by Jannine Gallant

The Wilde brothers are addicted to the rush of adventure. But one of them is about to learn no matter how often you look for danger, you don’t want danger finding you.

For extreme skier Tripp Wilde, pushing the limits is what he lives for. Unfortunately, the inherent risk takes a toll on his body. After an injury sidelines him, he ends up in the care of his little sister’s best friend, physical therapist Hannah Ryder—who has grown up in all the right ways since they last met.

Hannah doesn’t mix business with pleasure, even though she harbored a maddening crush on the irresistible Tripp years before. So, while Tripp tries every slick maneuver he knows to bed her, Hannah uses her own moves to keep the hotshot skier cooled off while trying to control her own growing desire for him.

After the pair witness what they think may be a murder on the slopes, along with the men responsible, no one believes their story. But when a series of unlikely accidents suggests they are being targeted, the two will have to trust in each other like never before if they are going to survive.

Terri's Thoughts

I received an advanced copy of this book from the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.  Thank you!  The book has just been released.

This is the third on the Born to be Wilde series that focuses on the Wilde brothers.  For those new to the series, you can read this on its own however I recommend starting from the beginning of the series.  Not because you need to in order to fully understand this story, but because it is simply an entertaining series and I have enjoyed all of the brothers in the series.

This instalment focuses on Tripp who is the youngest brother.  He is just as much of an adventurous outdoorsman as the rest of his family and equally drool worthy.  He is also another example of the ideal man if I were to put pen to paper on exactly all traits required to build the perfect specimen.

I had forgotten that each story in this series has a bit of suspense in it and it is not just a romance.  While I was easily able to figure out the "whodunit" in the story, I still enjoyed being along for the ride.  I liked that there was something to focus on aside from just the relationship between Hannah and Tripp as it gave you all the more reason to be in their corner.

I really enjoyed this story and the series as a whole.  As each of the brothers have now had there own story I fear this may be the end of the series.  There is still a sister, could we see one more? Or do I wait and see what else Jannine Gallant comes out with?

(From her Goodreads profile)

Write what you know. I've taken this advice to heart, creating characters from small towns and plots that unfold in the great outdoors. I grew up in a tiny Northern California town and currently live in beautiful Lake Tahoe with my husband and two daughters. When I'm not busy writing, I hike or snowshoe in the woods around my home. Whether I'm writing contemporary, historical or romantic suspense, I bring the beauty of nature to my stories.
