Kristine's Thoughts:

**I received an advanced readers copy directly from the author in exchange for an honest review. Thank you!**

A Spring Scandal is the third book in the Devereaux Manor Mystery series and I do believe that it is the final instalment. In order to understand the characters and the mystery in its entirety you do need to read A Summer Romance and A Winter Wedding first.

I've enjoyed this series from the very beginning but I have to admit that I think I liked A Spring Scandal the best out of all three books. It seemed to me that Smith really found her groove with the plot and it was a little more intense with a lot of twists and turns.

Maggie and Aaron were still going strong and Kate and Jason's story continued but Andi and Dylan got their story as well. I really, really enjoyed Andi and Dylan's story. There is just something about a second chance romance that I am a sucker for. In fact, I enjoyed their story so much that I was wishing for a little bit more. It could have been an entire book on its own and still held my interest. The story wove between the three different relationships and although many things happened to all of the characters I was still drawn to Andi and Dylan the most.

There was enough romance to satisfy the hopeless romantic in all of us but the mystery really geared up and took front and centre. This instalment definitely had the most twists and danger with the mystery eventually being solved. Let me tell you...it was not an easy one to figure out and I pride myself in figuring things out before the reveal. I had my suspicions and I was correct in some of them but way off the mark with others. It was really complex and I certainly appreciated that in this story. I often gauge a book by how easily I can figure it out. The harder it is, the better the book.

This series has been a pleasure to read and I feel that it has a little something for everyone. There was plenty of danger and intrigue as well as romance and steam. I'm almost sad to see it end. After following this series from the beginning, the characters seem like family and Devereaux Manor feels like home!
